Greg Hammond, formerly Regional Sales Director-Western North America, has been promoted to Director of Worldwide Marketing. Scott Sperry, previously the Director of Worldwide Marketing, has been named Director of the newly created Visual Technologies division.
Hammond graduated with dual degrees from Texas Tech in 1994. In addition to being a respected industry consultant, he managed sales automations for DaisyTech and supervised advertising and technology initiatives for CompUSA Retail Systems. "In addition to having an extremely successful, high-profile background in marketing, Greg has been a sales leader since he joined Aloha. We are looking forward to him bringing this experience and talent to Aloha's marketing initiatives," said Martin Siebert, Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing.
A graduate of the University of Kansas, Sperry has worked in retail automation for over 20 years. He has held several software development and marketing management positions with companies such as Norand Corporation, PAR Microsystems, Telxon Corporation, and The Pinnacle Corporation. He is regarded as an authority in retail automation and has an extensive background in a variety of vertical markets including route sales & accounting, convenience store & petroleum, and the restaurant & hospitality industries.
"Product diversification and expansion are priorities for our continued successful growth. We're very excited to have Scott Sperry bring his leadership and expertise to this important new division," said Siebert.
The first product that Aloha's new Visual Technologies division will oversee is Aloha VisualPoint, an interactive point-of-purchase multimedia advertising solution for hospitality and retail environments that increases impulse sales and encourages customers to upgrade their orders.
